Question: You set up Ilana to be a significant character. You made us wonder about her backstory: why was she in the hospital? How did she meet Jacob? Then you made her a regular billed character in Season 6. But… then she died without accomplishing anything. Is that all we get? Please, tell us a bit more about her!

Carlton Cuse: Ilana led a hard and tragic life but, alas, we can’t give you any more details here. We don’t want to create an Internet scavenger hunt by parceling out answers to unanswered “Lost” questions in various quarters of the Internet. Your questions are valid though. We had greater plans for Ilana but as we approached the end of the show we just didn’t have time to do more with her at the expense of the already established main characters.

Q: Will those of us who watched “Lost” faithfully over the years have our faith rewarded like the characters of the show? Locke died confused and without answers.

ABC has started releasing new Season 6 promotional photos in preparation for tomorrow’s press conference with the cast and crew of LOST. Hopefully someone with access to ABC Medianet can share with us this new set of photos  :)

Zuleikha Robinson, a.k.a Ilana, has been upped to regular status for LOST’s final season.

So far, 14 cast members have been confirmed as Series Regulars for Season 6: Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Terry O’Quinn, Michael Emerson, Jorge Garcia, Yunjin Kim, Naveen Andrews, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Leung, Emilie de Ravin, Nestor Carbonell, Jeff Fahey and Zuleikha Robinson.
