Via USA Today:
Damon, I have a question about my second-favorite character on the show, Frank Lapidus. Ever since he appeared on the Season 6 promotional poster, there has been a lot of speculation on message boards. So, anyway, my question is: Will Frank be promoted to main character status next season, and if so, will he be getting a -centric episode? Because that would be basically the most awesome thing ever. — Bish-Fiscuit
Yeah. Lapidus is definitely a series regular this season. Jeff Fahey was just a recurring character up through last year. Now, whether or not Lapidus makes it until the end of the season is anyone’s guess, but he’s definitely one of the A-team this year.

LOST copter pilot Jeff Fahey has closed a deal to guest star in an early ’09 episode of CBS’ Cold Case. He’ll play the owner of a boutique motorcycle customization shop who has cleaned up from his early days as a biker.

After we have watched one of the best episodes of Lost so far, it’s time to analyze a little bit the new people on the island:
Daniel Faraday (played by Jeremy Davies)

This man in his late 30′s is a physicist from Essex, Massachusettes. He seems to have a girlfriend or wife, but we didn’t manage to see her face, which makes me wonder if we already know her or might meet her soon. He was very saddened by flight 815 going down, but we don’t know why.
Daniel seems to be an introverted person, and can also be considered as the most friendly new visitor.
Miles Straume (played by Ken Leung)
Miles is a spiritualist from California. The most interesting thing about him is that he actually believes that he can be in contact with dead people. If you pay him he can also leave your house empty of spirits, by using a devide that looks like a hi-tech vacuum cleaner.
Once on the island, he “talks” to Naomi’s body, and after he finishes, he believes Kate’s story about how Naomi died. By the end of the episode, he tells Jack & Co. that their mission on the island (at least one of them) is to find Benjamin Linus.
Charlotte Lewis (played by Rebecca Mader)

Charlotte is a 25 years old woman from Essex, England. She is cultural anthropologist, and while she was in Tunisia, a few weeks before arriving at the island, she discovered a polar bear skeleton and a Dharma Initiative collar with the Hydra Station logo.
Frank Lapidus (played by Jeff Fahey)

Frank is an aircraft pilot who claimes to have been originally scheduled to pilot the flight Oceanic 815, but was replaced by Parkman (sorry, I meant Seth Norris). When he sees his body on the TV, he claims that, that body is not Seth’s.
When he meets Juliet on the island, he realizes that she is not a passenger of the 815.
