I am so pumped for this season, and I am really hoping for a stunning season premiere…my mind is going in a million different directions of how it can go so I am wondering if any of my theories will be anywhere close or not at all…I think the season is going to start off by kind of setting up the “game changer” and answering the questions raised during “The Incident” along with beginning to implant some answers on longer awaited mysteries. I think that the first half of the season is also going to be a little different than the second half. I keep on hearing that there will probably end up being some battle between good and evil, so I wonder how LOST will address and create this type of battle. I think the coolest way to wrap things up is to answer the questions and solve character stories but doing it in a way that makes us look at signigicant moments from the first five seasons in a new different way which will alow the viewers to rewatch the show and see things like they never have before. I think the last image of the show will be of Jack dying in the jungle and a close up of his eye closing in contrast to his eye opening as the first image of the series.

People keep saying the series will end in a Battle of Good vs. Evil, but I'm kind of hoping the story will take this cliche battle to a different level… The Battle of Faith vs. Science. In Faith and Science, each has their own good and bad qualities, and each have been the perfect competitors since the beginning of time. I see Jacob as Man of Faith, and Man In Black as Man of Science. On the island Faith has always seemed to overrule Science. The Man in Black now feels it's time for Science to overrule Faith, which is what he's been trying to do, hence all the extraordinary scientific features found on the island.

I want the least used characters (Miles, Richard, Frank, Ilana, and Claire) to be used the most in this season, or at least I want there to be a satisfying amount of screen time for each character when I look back at the show over and over again for the rest of my life.

I just finished re-watching seasons 1-5 and I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm hoping that this season will continue with the redemption theme that it had in the beginning and that it will concentrate on the main characters that we have all come to love. I find I am not that interested in Ilanna and the new “others”. I think in season 6 the characters will discover that they can't change the past but that the island continues to give them choices in which they can heal and recover from it. I would love to see Jack and his father have a chance to mend their relationship and I'm dying to figure out what is going on with Claire. My theory is that in the explosion Claire had some sort of internal injury that killed her and that is why she went with Christian and left Aaron. It has been fun to watch Ben and John's relationship. Also I loved seeing the Dharmaville in season 5, my husband and I wish we could move there!

After rewatching the final episode last night i'm afraid one of my biggest fears IS going to be true. I'm afraid that Jack was wrong when Richard said to him that John Locke never seemed particullarly special to him, and Jack replied not to give up on him. I'm afraid John's eagerness to be special is the reason MIB chose him in the first place, cause he was easy prey.
That's why my biggest hope for season 6 is that the real John Locke will revive and will be special after all. That he and Jack collaborate against MIB/Flocke.
Oh yeah, and a heroic ending for all those who need to die. I'm guessing Ben,Sawyer and Sayid are big potentials for dying before the ending of all of this.

May I start off by saying, this is the best show ever made. Hands down. I've never felt this way about a TV show, never been this addicted to a TV show, it's ridiculous. That brings me to sites like this; these online communities where people just like me come to talk and compare theories. What show has ever done that?
That said, I'm hoping this season does exactly what the rest have: left me with butterflies in a my stomach and a headache. It's the best feeling in the world. And knowing you get to relive it the next week makes it so much better. I hope for great character moments, but only to be balanced out by amazing mythology answers. Hell, I wouldn't mind a couple more questions being thrown in there, just to leave me wondering in the end.
The end, it's weird to think about. I've invested so much into this show, and I plan to keep investing long after it's over. I'll convince more people to invest in it, even after it's over. This show has changed the way I look at everything. It's changed how I watch TV, movies, people in the mall. I count things just to see if perhaps it's a 4 or an 8, or maybe a 16. Just to see.

First of all: I have been watching movies and TV shows for over 25 years now (starting at a very young age). There have always been somehow more interesting shows like Star Trek Next Generation or Twin Peaks that had great character moments and sometimes really interesting mythology-episodes that were borderline sci-fi or mythical unexplainable things. However, in all these years really nothing has come even close to LOST. I didn't watch the series from the beginning. My first time LOST that struck me was the one in which Claire had the flashback and the audience found out that this strange man wanted her to go on the plane that would crash. I was so thrilled and fascinated of that almost devilish moment that I had to continue to watch the first season of LOST and buy the DVDs. LOST is so amazing because it gives the audience moments in which really anything could be possible and they realy have no clue about what is going to happen next. Examples: What is down there in the hatch / who are the “pirates” that took Walt? What happened after the hatch being imploded? What happened to Desmond? / How did they leave toe island? Why? / Where (or when) did the island go? Why did John Locke die? / What is the consequence of the Losties blowing up the hatch in the 70ies? I know that I'm definitely not wrong in saying that NO other TV show has EVER had that amount of ground-breaking, breath-taking and awe-inspiring sesaon finales like LOST. And this is only a part of LOSTs greatnes. What must not be forgotten: LOST has so many moving character moments, I cant remember having cried so many times watching a TV show, these characters all had incredibly moving things happening in their lives and that's what made LOST so facinating from the very beginning.
Now, last season. Only thinking about it makes me really sad because with the end of LOST the greatest amount of thinking being puzzled will also be at an end. Sitting in a boring lecture about English literary history of being in the gym and thinking about why one of the characters on LOST did or said something in will be over. LOST captured the audience in an amount that I have never seen before in any TV show.
My expectations for the last season of LOST are basically that the core questions will be answered and at the same time some thinking about some of the events in the last couple of seasons weill still be required. So I think that hard thing for the writers will be to find that thin line between answering questions and not giving all away. However, as I started liking – rather loving – the last five seasons in a progressive way, Season six is going to be the greates ever (watching the short clips that don't give too much away proved me right on this!).
