So this was the ultra secret and evasive Libby story? Her husband died, she got in a mental institution, that’s it? They could’ve answered that ages ago, lol.
Question, I did not really understand the last part because English isn’t my primairy language. Are they saying the end will resolve everything or is still kind of a mystery to people?

From what i gather, the ending will (like all season finales) have us pondering certain things and definatively we will be making up our own minds about certain things. Overall though, that interviewer was terrible. The most mundane emotionless person ever lol
Cant wait for comicon though! WOOP!

In the whole interview, they have answered nothing, except the libby’s story which is already known.

hmm, interesting how Libby’s story changed, I mean right after they killed her off, and after season two ended, Darlton said that it was “just the tip of the iceberg” in terms of her story, which was originally going to be explained throughout season 3. Then in season 4, Watros actually came back, but then it was just a short cameo, which ended abruptly probably due to the strike. Sorry Darlton, but methinks someone has some more explaining to do… However, I love LOST no matter what, I follow for the story, not for the actual ending, so this doesn’t really matter to me as long as the show ends in a decent way both in respect to the characters and the story they’ve been telling us for the past 5 years.

I often wonder why people are so hung up on things like libby’s back story. With all thats happened on the show, i find myself more concerned with the smoke monster and the statue and jacob and destiny and all that. Libby’s story to me at this point seems…well insignificant. Season 2 and season 3 the show was kinda treading water with no end date in sight. Then there was the writers strike in season 4. Im not complaining, I could just care less about libby’s backstory and other small things like that. They arent important to the show at the point.

Well the thing is when you set out to create a certain storyline, which they most certainly did with Libby in the asylum, I think most people (including myself) expect there to be pay off, especially where a character which seemed at a point in the story to be significant is involved. For the overall story’s sake, I couldn’t care less about Libby’s involvement, however neglecting to tell us the full story, feels like a cheat, when we’ve already gotten involved in her character and have been set up to believe that her story was going to be told. I just hope that in season six, the show can go back to a place where the characters are the most important part of the story. Ever since the end date was set, the show has been at a full speed towards the ending and lost (no shameless pun intended) some of its original charm in its characters. Sure the show spent pretty much all of its three seasons on developing the characters, but nowadays some of the character motives seems contrived and not particularly true to the characters, and therefore the story loses some of its impact on atleast me as a viewer. I love how unabashedly sci-fi the show has become, but I care more for a drama about people stranded on a strange island than a sci-fi show about an island with strange people on it.

DUTCH ACCENT?? Will the Finale be about De Groote? Will he appear and speak? Thoughts, anybody?

Yay! Juliet will definitely be back, i am sure of it!

Well at least they are being upfront that they expect mixed reactions from the finale. They described it like waiting for Christmas and hoping we like what they got us.
