Sad day. I know this is off topic, but I am still holding on to the very small chance that Claire is still alive. It bothers me beyond reason that she just walked off with him and we have no idea what happened. ESPECIALLY seeing as the psychic tells her in Season 1 that no one else can raise her baby. Clearly she wasn’t thinking about this when she left Aaron behind. I feel like Aaron has to get back to her some how..

Back on topic, however, I find it interesting that the whispers happened right before Christian showed up. I always thought the whispers were a sign of evil (or in Season 1 and 2— “the Others”) coming. Either way, the whispers definitely aren’t symbolic of the Others/Hostiles any more…

I totally did NOT catch the woman in the background. I feel like it would make more sense that it is Claire (but when does Lost ever go for the obvious). @Merlin: “And let’s remember that Charlotte died and then disappeared” Didn’t Faraday make some comment that they all moved in time, but she stayed behind? I interpreted that as her body was was still hanging out in present day, while everyone else jumped again.

That was a lot of ramble, but in conclusion, I love this show.

Hey Shelby. I think the voice saying the numbers is the same voice that was heard by Hurleys friend from the institution, the one he heard the numbers from, and the crazy guys partner that her worked with in a radio tower. Think of the time period. It could easily be the same guy.

OK, how about this. I think it was Smokey coming in through the door in interior shot, and then smokey changes into Claire who we then see in the background behind Sun.

And why not Charlotte?
The woman in the back doesn’t appear to be blonde, I’m quite sure she has red hair.
And let’s remember that Charlotte died and then disappeared. We don’t know yet where her body is. So why not with Christian?

sgrmac: maybe rousseau’s broadcast was merely put overtop of the numbers and when she turned it off in season 3 she just turned off her voice and the numbers were still there.

i really hope that the thing behind Sun is Claire… I miss Claire…

why would the numbers be broadcasting “again” ?
Rousso shut down the original broadcast in the 1980s, to replace it with her message.
Then, at the end of season 3, she turns it all off when she takes the LOSTies to the radio tower.
another mystery?

What if the purge was Jack kicking Sawyer out of power. Only saying that bc next wk’s episode looks like there’s going to be a lot of quarrels btwn the losties..ah, maybe not

There is definitely someone behind Sun, probably a woman and she’s moving.
I don’t think it’s the photography director or anyone from the shooting crew. This character appears right in front of the camera, the director or the script would have seen her! It must be on purpose.
I would say Claire, because last time we saw her she was already with Christian in the same position (alone in the dark background). But the real question is: wtf is she doing there?

Omg I knew about the whispers and the model but I didnt catch the numbers, smoke coming in the door or the mysterious image in the background!! Great catch Camp!!
