Why on EARTH would Aaron have to be on the plane? He wasn't PART of the original plane, so clearly his presence is not needed to recreate... UNLESS he was supposed to proxy for Walt. Also, the comment about Ray having the shoes... are you going to go through the last four seasons of the show and speculate on every coincidence? The beauty of this show is that there IS coincidence and there IS fate. Given how much fate was thrown our way this episode, I would venture a guess and say that, yes, he just happened to still have a pair of his son's shoes. I don't find it to be a huge coincidence. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, though I do understand that it hardly ever is in Lost. Other than a few frustrating gripes, I really enjoy your thoughts.
