On last night’s episode we were able to hear once again the radio message that kept repeating the numbers over and over. You can listen to it on the audio player below:

It sounds a lot to us like Hurley, what do you think?

To me, it only sounds like Hurley when “the voice” says the number “42.” Other than that, it doesn’t sound like him to me.
But I noticed that last night, also, that it sounded similar.

Sometimes it does sound like him… I think it could be Hurley, but I wouldn’t be suprised if it isn’t him. xx

This would be way cool. Hurley got to the island indirectly because of their transmission from the island, so it would be very apt if he ends up being the voice behind them.

it does little but am not sure it will be the voice sounds younger than hurly

That would be really great if it was him. But how do you reckon he could do that? How would he move back in time?
Maybe they’ll get to the island on two tours with Hurley on the first one? And with a few of those who left, Island wouldn’t stop shifting but maybe it’ll slow down… And it will stop shifting once all of them come back.
What do you think?

Let’s just say for the moment it is Hurley. That would mean that he is working for Dharma (1980s) and in the Flame Station. To what end? Is he still on the island in 1988 when Danielle’s team arrives, as the incident probably has happened, but not the purge (much later)? Is this why the numbers haunt him? As soon as he’s future self goes back in time, does his 2003-4 character start to have island memories (but he thinks he’s crazy).
Which gets us back to the why the numbers being broadcast in the first place? Are these numbers significant to Mrs. Hawking in her determination of island location? Seems like if she can hear it, then everybody can? Like Leonard and Sam. So when Danielle switched the transmission, did that have any effect?
Turning the failsafe did cause the island to be out of communication from someone.
But Mrs. Hawking is again able to find the island 2007. Does that mean that Locke has successfully stopped the island skips?
Yikes . . . babbling . . .

To me it sounds like locke, but that’s just me…
February 12th, 2009 at 12:25 pm
If we find that out to be true, I will be totally blown away. Maybe if we listen closely, the message starts out with “Dude, 4, 8, 15,…”

You guys are so good at picking up so many things on Lost. Yes he does sound like Hurley. If it is him, that would really put a big twist into the Lost storyline. Lost is just Awesome !!!!
February 12th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Hmmm, in a way it sounds like him, but then it doesn’t, you know?
February 12th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
If it is him, this might mean that he is the one that started the numbers, and he is the one psyching himself over them, if you will.
Say (if it is him), that once the O6 get back, somehow they still time flash, and go back to before the number transmission was recorded. Somehow, being haunted by the numbers still, Hurley records them in the station, ultimately leading Danielle to the Island, and so on. What if HE is one who started the numbers, from the Island.
Cause, we know now that our Losties play parts in the past, with what happens in the present, ya know? If that makes sense. Like now the Donkey Wheel was discovered. A rope sticking out of the ground…so DHARMA comes and digs, finds the wheel, builds a well, and BAM, instant access.
Anyways, I really think it could be Hurley…
February 12th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
faraday said that in his opinion the combeack of =O6 has nothing to do with the skips. as we saw last episode, the donkey wheel had some probs
i tell you what. since “the little prince” the O6 are already back on the island. with the boats and the ajira bottle. since then they skipped together with the survivors. locke then ended the skipping by turning the wheel. they will find eachother next episode or so in the jungle.
wasn’t “the little prince” something like a book where a boy wants to go back to his star and some guys referred to locke. so when the O6 inclusive locke returned in that episode, it would make perfect sense.
my theory : )

It sounds like Hurley, thats for sure. But it seams like it could be Jack.
February 12th, 2009 at 5:01 pm
that is 100% hurley
February 12th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
Sounds like one of the “Lost” sound engineers to me.
February 12th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
I think it sounded more like Minkowski than Hurley.
February 13th, 2009 at 9:29 am
I really believe it is Hurley and remember several episodes where the actors try and change up their voice a little so we dont catch on so quick for example Ben stiching up Sayid in the Economist and the one with Jack waking up and going in the bathroom and Kate is in the shower….
February 13th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
nahh i don’t think it sounds like hurley.
February 13th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
i think it would explain a lot if it was charlie.
February 14th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
ITS HURLEY LISTEN TO 42
February 15th, 2009 at 1:57 am
It’s not Hurley, sounds more like Minkowski.
I think it may be someone else who needs a good physical tie to the mythos, like Radzinski
February 17th, 2009 at 2:52 am
That is 100% Hurley! Can’t you hear it?
November 15th, 2009 at 2:02 pm
