My theory:

daniel was on the rubber boat heading back to the island before it dissapeared. the way I think it happened, he got off the boat and stepped with his right foot on the island a second before it dissapeared but not in time to put both feet on the island.
thus the left foot literaly “stayed behind”.

In the Dharma videos Candle’s arm looks as though it is fake. Maybe he lost his limb like Daniel while time traveling. There’s a Dharma video which I’m sure you’ve all seen where Daniel’s voice is in the background as though he is filming it. Coincidence? Doubt it. hahaha

if you zoom in at Charlotte in the group photo you can see her toes are covers by leaves is this a coincidence or a clue to the four toed statue and Charltte who was supposidly born on the island .

If that’s IS a photoshop error… then who ever the designer was and who let it be released like that are in MAJOR trouble. If I ever manipulated a photo and left a mistake like that I would be in trouble with my art director…

That fact alone leads me to believe, either they got rid of his foot (the parts of his ‘foot’, to me, look like they could be shadows on leaves playing tricks) or made it looks like it was gone for a reason. There is no way the art house that did this ad just let something like that slip…

I also have to agree with zack, that this was a quickly and not well done photoshop job all around. parts of it make me cringe)

@Jered: yeah, now I get what you meant. And I agree that this whole thing could have been done better.

For example if you look at the angle the light is coming in (you can see it better on the big picture), the upper edge of the left thigh should not be as bright as it is, as it is behind the arm-rest of the chair, and the light is coming from the windows. Anyway, pardon me my strange expression, what I mean is:
This whole left leg seems to be added afterwards.
