Yes, I agree the 316 is a bible reference with links to Jacob. The continual christian overtones sicken me.

I think it looks like a train whistle. But lights work, too.

I think 3: 16 is like "John 3: 16". At least, I think that that was the passage in the bible. Notice the John part.

i think it could be a lighthouse or a beacon and yes it could be on the island and lights up for the oceanic 6 to see the island. cccaannn''ttt wait any longer for season 6 so excited.

Yeah ...a lighthouse or beacon. Considering the oceanic 6 will be trying to get back to the island (that has moved), a "beacon" station may be the way to find the island and return to it.
