I just gotta say during the scene at the dock I just felt sooo bad for Sawyer, he finally finds his true love and she dies poor guy. So this darkness Sayid is supposodly infected with must have something to do with Smokie but how when hes still inhabiting Locke’s body? And how has the same thing already happened to Claire? Does this mean CS is a bad guy? Is he on Smokie’s side?? Hmmm…these are all questions i would really like answered ha. This was even duller and less eventful than LA X. That's impressive.

Exactly my thoughts! I'm glad we see the 'good-old' Claire back, like she was when she was pregnant on the Island in S1. Good episode!

rob mcelhenney was in this! lol… i mean whoever watches its always sunny in philadelphia couldnt take his character here seriously. luckily claire shot him.
overall this episode was weaker, id give it a 6 or 7. that scene with ethan creeped me out.

LOST continues to fascinate its audience. Admittedly, this season was not so awe-inspiring like LA X 1 and 2 were, however, the producers keep answering some of the questions the audience has long been waiting for.
The “new questions” are certainly who actually those new “others” are and who plays in whoch team as well as which team is actually the good one and why the bad one. I ight be mistaken, bis so far I somehow see Jacob, Christian, Dogen to be the good guys. I can't imagine the writers let the appear in such a positive light only to make the the villains later (?)
The questions that still need to be answered are diefintely what the connection between the really strange characters Claire, Christian, Sayid the man in the Cabin (was it really Jacob?) and the Smokemonster is. Now we all know that Christian wanted John Locke to go home and sacrifice himself. That would basically mean he's one of the bad guys or even Smoky himself (?), but I cannot help myself to see him as one of the good guys… Then the Sickness, is the sickness something that comes from Smoky? Is this a way for the SM to controll other people on the island that become his slaves that help him? That would be why dead bodies always needed to be buried.
Then again, what does that mean concerning our Losties? Is it true that Sayid is also going to infect all the others? If so, then many of our Losties might still die or be “taken”? Would that actually mean that either the Listies from the parallel universe would have to change the universe and replace their alter egos if they die in the island-reality? Or does it mean nothing matters because the real reality is the one in which the plane never crashed and even though everyone dies on the island, all of them will survive in the alternate reality? What do YOU think guys?

sorry guys but this episode was silly and one of the poorest episodes i have ever seen in the history of LOST!!
Why Damon?? Why Carlton?? why this episode is on season 6 ???
i am having doubts on the ending of the show!

waste of an episode.
And I don't like seeing the Losties in the parallel reality where they have not changed a bit from their pathetic selves they were before all they grew into on the island.
and I am sick of torture and oblique references. This is like Season 3 all over again… enough with the torture and long silent gazes with cryptic words that say nothing.

Calire is infected just like the french expedition was infected, do you remember that scene with rousseau and her lover where he tries to shoot here, and then rosseau is talking all the time about how the people that came with her to the island where infected as well

however, when sun and kenny rogers met with christian at the others barracks last season we definitely saw black smoke escaping from the house behind christian and maybe claire in the background, so i'm not sure if he's capable of taking on multiple forms, or any forms other than his own for that matter. i definitely think christian is with smokey but i don't neccessarily agree he is smokey

Your theories are right in line with mine.
Also, I think Claire has been “claimed” by Rousseau. I have to go back and look, but I think that Rousseau was killed just shortly before Claire disappeared. Perhaps the “claimer” only has a short window of time after death to claim someone. Therefore, Jacob will try to claim Sayid?

Or maybe the ash was to keep smoky in or an entity like him in the cabin, who was it asked John “Help me “
in the cabin sure didn't look like Jacob to me.Christian and others have been seen off the island after theyre apparent death (Christian to Jack and to Michael on the freighter). Jacob has also been seen off the island but have we seen Smoky/MIB off island?

Yes.. i bet you are right.
Dogen was very carefully looking as he blew the ash over Sayid's body.
Perhaps he was noticing the ash was repelled instead of some of it settling on his skin, as it normally would.

Also reminiscent of Desmond throwing his ring for Penny in the Thames. This was a good episode. Most of the people who are complaining about it are probably just upset that it didn't answer every question. But we learned a little bit more about the sickness, which i thought was fine. There are still 15 hours left, and something tells me that the big questions cannot be answered at this point in the storytelling.

I liked this episode a lot! Here's what I found interesting:
I was beggining to think that Rousseau had made the whole “infected” thing up, but apparently the french team did get evil when they got in touch with the smoke monster. Since I believe that the smoke monster uses dead bodies on the island to aquire human form (Jack's dad, Mr.Eko's brother, John Locke), then it would make sense that Claire got infected too when her dad visited her. Claire killing people and setting traps? She's definitely not the same innocent and kind Claire, but we don't really know if she has turned evil like the Japanese guy said she had or if she is somehow fighting it, like Rousseu did.
Also about Sayid, maybe the japanese guy is mistaken. Since Jacob now is dead maybe things have changed. The water was a different color and Jacob was very interested in saving Sayid's life, so maybe he intends to use Sayid's body the same way the smoke monster uses Locke's?
I do enjoy the episodes about characters, I think the whole “I trust you” thing between Sayid and Jack was amazing. This blind trust makes Jack feel responsible, like he has to be a leader again, because that's what he is.
The same trust and bonding goes between Claire and Kate, who are alone and need each other. Even if they're not on the island Kate seems destined to help Claire and be a part of Aaron's life. So apparently Aaron is very important to the island, but in which way???
And the relantionship between Kate and Sawyer had sort of a closure. Sawyer tells Kate he's meant to be alone and that she should go back to the temple, clearly he's not interested in her anymore. Kate gets the message so she takes off alone to find Claire, and maybe either on the island or on the alternate life in LA, she'll get together with Jack again.
I also think Sawyer will end up having that coffee with Juliet on the real world. When he finds Juliet under the debris she is disapointed because the bomb didn't work, but then when she is already dying she could finally see her life in the real world and therefore wants to tell Sawyer that the bomb did work after all. She knows she exists in the alternate universe and she dies happy.
So maybe they will all die fulfilling their purposes on the island and continue their lifes in LA, somehow finally remembering what they went through on the island.
