I watched it. Not gonna spoil anything but just gonna tell that it doesn't actually show much. But don't watch it if you want to be COMPLETELY free from spoilers.
January 29th, 2010 at 6:59 pm
damn.. I did watch it, for me I never thought this is how the opening scene will be. 4 days. 4 days.
January 29th, 2010 at 7:07 pm
Nooooooooooooooooo!! A reset!
January 29th, 2010 at 7:11 pm
It's not THAT spoiler heavy but it does rasies some good questions, Like Does Jack Know what was going to happen, and if so does the others know as well?, If it changed what about Desmond? or anybody else that was not on the plane?
January 29th, 2010 at 7:11 pm
still, we don't know! DAMN! it was amazing.
January 29th, 2010 at 7:15 pm
If you really watched season 1 alot, like myself, it all makes sense. It did not spoil a ton for me, just left me frothing at the mouth for more. I knew it.

I saw the first few shots of new footage. As soon as the screen started shaking I had to put it off immediately, lol.
January 29th, 2010 at 8:06 pm
@Damon dont worry its just a trick i bet everything comes back to normal at the end of the episode or something… remember Jacob's words “They are coming” so yeah they are going to the island.
this scene doesnt mean that everything from s1 to s5 is like never happened…. what if a couple of minutes later the airplane did crash? who knows.
the only thing i didnt like it was kind of weak… i dont know maybe the sudden cut at the end…

I watched it.
Let's just say, I think they cut off at that point for a reason.
The universe always finds a way of course correcting itself.
January 29th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
TOTALLY agree with you. That plane is still crashing. And things will play out marginally different….but ultimately the same…..except for one thing….
January 29th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Well it appears Jack and Rose are sitting in different seats or a different plane as the first time around the wing is clearly visible from Jacks window but not this time also I am the only one to notice Jack has not got the short hair cut he had the first time around? I may be nit picking but they have had long enough to sort these things out. Still looking forward to the final series.

Does the person who leaked this get in some sort of trouble?

mild spoiler it reavels something then cuts off and leaves you with another mystery
January 29th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
I think the new narrative is called “Alternate timeline” for a reason;
the detonation of the hydrogen bomb, caused a “new” timeline (instead of the old one with Flocke & Ben on it) to evolve extending from the turbulence moment in the plane to chain of events without the passengers crashing on the island .
That doesn't mean the events of S1 to S5 have been erased – Flocke, Ben & the others are still on the island in another timeline (the original lost timeline) – I think the detonation had two effects:
1-it prevented the incident : which means Jack & co. died in 1977 (Richard watched them die) & none of the events happened, so a new timeline emerges in which their plane lands safely
2-it caused the incident in a different way : in this case I think Jack & co. will also wake up in the island in the same timeline that Flocke & others are.(which is due to the universal course correcting effect I suppose.)

Did anyone else notice that the Cindy gave Jack ONE bottle of liquor..instead of two? Also, instead of Jack saying “This of course breaks some critical FAA regulations” Cindy says “This will be our little secret…”
Also, Jack passed out once the plane started flying down in the pilot. He may have been feeling weak when the plane was rumbling and felt like he was about to pass out. That's why he's all out of breath.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:24 pm
whoops..i meant Jack says “This will be our little secret..”
January 29th, 2010 at 11:25 pm
In the first season, Jack was the one telling Rose that everything was going to be ok, he was the one encouraging her, and he was shown as the confident one, and after this…it seemed as if the roles were switched somehow.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:37 pm
Isn't Charlie have meant to run passed in that bit? Maybe the dead people didn't return o_O But I can't remember when Charlie does run passed, so I'm probably wrong…
January 29th, 2010 at 11:40 pm
I can't really tell, but if you listen close to the sounds as the plane is rumbling through air…I think you can hear the sound of the time skipping white light over the sound of the plane vibrating.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:40 pm
I compared S1 and S6 scenes and there another diferences: In season 1 scene Charle run to the toilet, in S6 Charlie don't go to the bathroom; On S1 Jack before the turbulence he first stand up and then belt up on another sit, in S6 he doesn't stand up and belt up on the same sit; The Clouds in both senes are differents; Cindy in S6 gave Jack one bottle and in S1 she gave him 2 bottles and she goes in the other way she does on S1.
Is John Locke is behind Rose on S1 and on S6 too?.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
Ya your right…he runs past Jack after Jack gets the drink and before the plane starts rumbling. I have a feeling he's on the plane, but is not into drugs anymore…which doesn't cause him to go to the bathroom to get a quick fix.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:49 pm
The upholstery from both plains are differents too
January 29th, 2010 at 11:54 pm
AWESOME!
Not very spoiling, but it confirms my theory more or less.
I think that we'll be seeing an alternate reality instead of any flashforward, flashback or time travell, a reality were the incident never happened, well, a lot of things didn't happen, we can already tell because Charlie isn't running to the toilet.
And alongside the alt. reality, the whole Unlocke and Jacob thing we have benn following so far, plus I think that Jack and the others will return to their original timeline because… just because they have to be there otherwise it would be awful xP
It is very clever that while this spoiler suggests that reality changed, the bottle message says that “nothing's irreversible”.
If this is going to be season 6, I have faith this are going to be the best season ever made.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Didn't Calton and Damon said that there will be no Alternate Timeline?
January 29th, 2010 at 11:59 pm
Yes, he is. It's a little hard to make out on this video; here's a higher res one:

there is a missing scene(s) in this, cause i heard that jack sees the island when the plane was mend to be rips apart!! also were is charlie did he not run past??
January 30th, 2010 at 2:59 am
well I wish I hadn't read that. guess I'm done checking the comments
January 30th, 2010 at 4:17 am
Hey what happened to all you Virgins who wanted to stay 100% spoiler-free ???
You couldn't resist, huh? Thats alright, join the spoiler club, lol.
This video just confirmed what we spoilers knew all along how the premiere was going to start. I like reading ur comments on what you think might happen next after the video ends. I think only one person had it right. By the way, Charlie is not seen running cause he is already in the bathroom shooting up his herion but you will be surprise on what happens to him later on after he takes the herion.
I agree with the comment that said season 6 will be the greatest season. We will be watching this sea 6 for years to come over and over.
January 30th, 2010 at 4:55 am
OK. I think the fact that Jack has no short hair and seems to see what is going on tends to point that there's a reset, but Jack definitely knows what went down and hopes that there'd be a reset (he seems relieved after the second big bump).
January 30th, 2010 at 7:53 am
Interesting time to see Locke – 3:16!

anybody notice how jack looks really confused as to where he is like when desmond first time travels back in season 3 and wakes up on his floor!! So either they cut the pilots message half way through for a reason or they will have alternate realities like people are saying!!
January 30th, 2010 at 12:24 pm
But… if the timeline is changed Desmond won't scape from the Swan and Juliet won't leave the others… It's a little bit disappointed in my opinion.
January 30th, 2010 at 12:57 pm
Has anyone thought about it being a white rabbit? Like, perhaps they're showing us what could've happened… but ultimately didn't.
Hm. But then again, there are so many differences and Jack definitely knows that the plane should crash.
If there is an alternative-reality, then I still think those that died will die. Boone, Shannon, Charlie etc…
They will just die in different ways.

January 30th, 2010 at 10:58 pm
I was just going to post this because i watched this and the plane crash from the pilot consecutively.
Some diferences:
- Jacks hair is definetely longer
- He recieves 1 bottle of vodka rather than 2
- Jack's conversation with the flight attendant is different
- They are seated differently
- There are less people
- The plane originally shakes as Jack is pouring the drink
- His conversation with Rose is slightly different
- Charlie never runs past Jack, bumping into him
Im not really sure whats going to happen here. Is charlie still dead? 3 more days…….

I had this theory long time ago. I'm just wondering if the whole thing is not simply a dream-like vision? Anyone remebers the Star Trek Next Generation Episode, in which Q had Picard relive his youth (the Klingon-stabbed-a-knife-through-young-Picards-heart-incident!). At the end of the episode he realised, that the being stabbed had to happen in order to become the person that he is. So: Is Jacob somehow sending some of the Losties into an alternate reality in order to prove them their destiny always was the island?
