    I like the thoughts about changing the future but I don't think you can change the future.

    This was always going to happen as Eloise knew it would. This chain of events always happened and always caused the "incident". I think in some way the "incident" must send them back to the future.

    Before season5 started there was a video released at comic-con which showed Dr. Chang and Faraday making a video to inform future Dharma people about the purge.... after seeing The Variable, I can't see how that video was made -- Faraday is dead and he never made the video with Chang.

    Sounds like Faraday filming to me - maybe its from a different timeline - Chang says "we are apparently powerless escape" - so no matter how many times and in how many timelines Faraday goes back and tries to stop it, the purge will always happen. Thoughts?
