so ben wasn’t lying when he said he was born on the island, if the whole healing thing erases his memory. he actually thought he was

real nice episode..
love the convo between hurley and miles..
nice to see locke again for that brief moment..
next weeks episode looks amazing!
April 1st, 2009 at 10:04 pm
the last five minutes were AWESOME
April 1st, 2009 at 10:09 pm
well next weeks episode looks good……lol
sigh not much happened here, though it was nice to have kates pre-island-return story resolved and we find out where ellie and charles are in the 1970s.
so yeah….on to next week! actually scratch that on to the rest of the season. i have a feeling the filler episodes are over its time for the writers to start giving us some answers……at least thats what i’m hoping.
am i the only one who thinks the new season of lost is REALLY cool but the episodes are not that great. this storyline could be so much better. i feel like by this time last season we had several really awesome episodes like the constant and the shape of things to come. i don’t know if theres any episodes this season that reasonate as well for me
April 1st, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Yeah Miles and Hurley are cool together… I like how Miles and Sawyer are friends now too.
And I definitely didn’t see the whole getting Claire back thing coming… thats a cool twist and makes Kate’s storyline sooo much more interesting.
Charles Widmore was mentioned! And Richard is mad chill too.
But even better: “Welcome back to the land of the living…”
Next week is going to be amazing… looks like judgement day
April 1st, 2009 at 10:11 pm
Sounded like there was a bug going around between the actors! That was a definitely congested Sawyer, Kate, and even Hurley!
April 1st, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Was very glad to see Jack telling Kate no more. He even told her the truth when he said you didn’t like me then either. I can see him how changed he is and how calm he is.
April 1st, 2009 at 10:18 pm
i loved it,
so if whatever happened, happened
then why doesn’t Rousseau remember jin?
we know why ben doesn’t remember sayid..
April 1st, 2009 at 10:19 pm
That was awesome. The guy said when Richard took Ben “You should ask Elle and…(who??)” And who are those two?
April 1st, 2009 at 10:25 pm
jack seems a lot more like Locke now, using “I was supposed to” and “The Island…” as his excuses for his actions. And also the last five minutes were really good and I cant wait for the next episode. I think we finally get to see inside the temple
April 1st, 2009 at 10:32 pm
@ Brian:
He said “You should ask Ellie and Charles.” Ellie was seen on the Island in 1954 in the episode Jughead nd so was Charles who is Charles Widmore. Widmore said he was in charge around this time but it sounded like she would also have a very strong pull with the Others they he said you should ask both of them, mabe like co-leaders
April 1st, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Thought it was good. I also liked the dialogue with miles and hurley. Michio kaku is a teacher and he talks about different dimentions and stuff. So its pretty cool to see it on TV and to hear him talk about it on the radio program he has. i liked how jack told kate no and james shot her down too. im starting to not like kate. how could u feel the way she did if the kid u were caring for for 3 years goes missing. shes mesed up in the head. NEXT WEEK LOOKS AWESOME!!
April 1st, 2009 at 10:45 pm
This was probably the best Kate episode in years. And the stuff with the Others, especially the mention of Charles and Ellie, was a nice touch.
But I agree with Callum that next week’s episode looks awesome. The inside of the Temple? The answer to what happened to Desmond and Penny? And about a million other things. Wow.
April 1st, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Awesome !!!
April 1st, 2009 at 11:28 pm
I feel bad for Kate, but it looks like she used Jack to get over Sawyer. She doesn’t have any right to say that she liked the old him, because she can’t get her way anymore with him.
April 1st, 2009 at 11:48 pm
So overall I really liked this episode better than the past few.
It was nice to see that Roger has a soft side and hes not always such a hard a**. I understand where Jack is coming from when he decies to not save Ben so i am not upset with that at all. I also see where Kate and Juliet are coming from saying no matter who he grows up to be he is just a kid.
Although I dont not like Kate like some people seem to be starting to do I am happy to see Jack and Sawyer are trying or already are over her they both need to at some point.
In “316″ we see Jack starting to become a man of faith, and i think in this episode we see that transformation complete itself when Jack says “I came back because I was supposed to.”
Was kinda suprised to see Kate’s real reason for going back was to find Claire and not for Sawyer which is what I thought personally. And untill the last flashback scene I was sure I was right about Kate leaving Aaron with Cassidy but of course it ended up being wrong.
So as I said I took the meeting with Richard as he meant Ben would not remember this incident, the whole being shot by Sayid and possibly even being healed by the Others. Someone went to Richard and said “Shouldnt we tell Ellie and Charles?” So are they possibly like Co-leaders or somehting lie that, or maybe married or together? I think Richard took him to the Temple and he will be messed or w/e just how Roussoue’s crew was when they went in
BTW I loved the look on Ben’s face in 2008 when he sees Locke alive haha priceless
April 1st, 2009 at 11:54 pm
Not the the best episode, but definitely up there! What everyone thought was a filler episode, was actually A MIND BLOWER! Damn Sayid had to fulfill his faith and shoot BEN!…TEMPLE!!
PS: Ben’s reaction in the end when he say Locke was…I can’t even say anything!
April 2nd, 2009 at 12:56 am
My favorite line of the episode…”I didn’t say you couldn’t leave, I’m just going to shoot you in the leg if you do.” Lol. I think it was a pretty good episode…and next week looks absolutely insane.
April 2nd, 2009 at 1:09 am
I thought this was an awesome episode!
I was actually looking forward to hearing Kates side of the story, pre- “316″. This story flowed really well, with the off island Cassiday, Sawyer story now added with Kates “road” to redemption plot. I went into this episode not knowing what to think if Kate. This episode was make or break my thoughts on Kate, and the ending had me a little emotional, and her reasons are justified, so therefore in my eyes, she has for the moment redeemed herself.
I haven’t given up on Kate yet..
I was glad to see the temple again!
It looks like we see Widmore and Ellie in 1977 soon!
With the preview for next week, they are gearing things up for the finale! One more story arc of 3 more episodes, then I hope they close out this season with a bang with the last 3 episodes!
Where are Farday and Desmond!?..
The return of Locke..even if it is for the last final seconds of the cliffhanger!
can’t wait for next weeks episode!
April 2nd, 2009 at 1:49 am
Really good episode. Richard saying, that Ben won’t remember anything was a great way of explaining all this. So Ben turns into Ben “Vader”
Didn’t see that one coming.
April 2nd, 2009 at 2:47 am
Previous to this episode people were saying maybe Ben was so messed up because Sayid shot him when he was a kid, and that ironically perhaps Sayid was creating the “evil” Ben we know.
It’s interesting that not only is that true, in part, but Jack had a hand in creating that Ben as well.
[by refusing to save him]
April 2nd, 2009 at 4:14 am
poor kate 3 years ago she had sawyer and jack pining after her know it looks like she’s got no one, well thats what you get when you string to people along for that amount of time, oh and does anyone else like this new attitude of jacks better
April 2nd, 2009 at 6:44 am
that was amazing.
ok, so after this, ben’s going to turn “evil”…
i took that to mean that seeing as locke and christian shephard were both healed/resurrected in pretty much the same way, they’re the same as ben now.
which was kind of confirmed at the end.. the look in locke’s eyes !!!
April 2nd, 2009 at 8:07 am
I don’t think Kate is so much worried whether she has Sawyer or Jack as her lover or has none of them, as some of the Lost fans here are. She has other things to do instead of engaging in to old love stories.
April 2nd, 2009 at 9:11 am
i just had a thought.. wouldnt it be totally messed up and off the wall if kate hooked up with Roger? did anyone else notice a connection? we all know kate is into broken men..
April 2nd, 2009 at 9:13 am
I thought it was great how Hurley and Miles explained what everybody was wondering about the time travel stuff. And I loved how everything came together. The end was the big payoff! A couple things to note:
- Charles and Ellie seem to be in charge… could Ellie be Penny’s mother as well, cause she should be born by now, as well as Faraday I would think….
- Richard “doesn’t answer to either of them” and he didn’t really answer to Ben either… so who does he answer to?
- the temple seems purely in the Other’s ownership… so when do the DI take over and make it a station? (Ben’s map for Alex had the Dharma logo beside it).
- what the eff goes on in the temple??
Can’t wait for next week!!
April 2nd, 2009 at 9:18 am
Also, forgot to mention. A lot of people think that Ben goes to the marina to attack Penny and Desmond, but why would they be at the marina… I think it’s a bit of a trick. When they were on a boat they were in the UK, why would they use the boat to travel to LA?? They would have to use the Panama Canal, or go around South America… that would take a while. They most likely flew, and are staying in a hotel. I think the writers just want us to think it’s Penny, but really it’s someone else… that’s going to be equally as crazy.

With question one of the best episodes this season. 10/10
April 2nd, 2009 at 11:53 am
By far the best ‘dharma’ episode in my opinion, and by far the best Kate episode ever.
My favourite bit was Miles and Hurley’s conversation, especially when Hurly thought he had figured something out and went all Sherlock Homes and sat back in his chair, pure comedy.
I think we are long overdue a Miles episode, he’s a great character
April 2nd, 2009 at 12:48 pm
Anybody got an answer as to why ben was so surprised to see locke alive? does ben not know EVERYTHING like we previously thought? if so he definitely killed locke for a malicious reason rather than a good one if he intended for him to be dead and stay dead.
also good call to whoever pointed out that whats about to happen to ben is what happened to rousseaus team
April 2nd, 2009 at 1:16 pm
Wonderful Episode…
As the season is progressing I am getting more and more fascinated on Richard and the others.
This episode successfully explained the time travel concept.
April 2nd, 2009 at 3:24 pm
The Best scene of the epi was when Sawyer called Kate “Freckles”
I just loved it !!!!
Skaters Unite !!!!
April 2nd, 2009 at 3:53 pm
Can I just say… “voodoo magic will erase his memory” sounds like the worst cop out ever. It -sounds- like Darlton really have been making it all up as they go along… and you know what? I think that they could have easily said that Ben -did- remember them. OR that that was an incredibly traumatizing experience and young Ben got amnesia. But this way… I dunno. Pissed me off.
April 2nd, 2009 at 4:50 pm
@luke : ben ‘vader’
what about BENAKIN TIMEWALKER?
30 years later he throws emperor alpbertine in the well
to start it all over again….
cheers
April 2nd, 2009 at 5:04 pm
finally others again, they will be the main aspect of the show in the last season i think.
so the losties were responsible for ben becoming who he is, especially sayid, that makes me think, as they timetraveled and therefore “changed” or “did” something in the past, as if Charles widmore is indeed the good guy, who got into the trap of ben, who just got power through the manipulation of things by the losties. well, but maybe this was actually good.. i don’t know.
April 2nd, 2009 at 5:26 pm
how did miles know that it was a “wheel thing” that ben turned????? He never was told that to our knowledge…unless they found out about the wheel within the 3 years of being on the island…….or locke told O6 who told miles…..but just sayin….
April 2nd, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Keely: “Why didn’t Rousseau remember Jin?”
Maybe she did. She just never told any of the losties that. Or she could have just forgotten. It was 16 years before she saw Jin again.
April 2nd, 2009 at 10:09 pm
I think the key scene to who remembers what and when was back when Farrady told Desmond to contact his mother pre Oceanic 815, but he didn’t remember the conversation until after he’d left the island years later. Rousseau didn’t remember Jin as an example because Jin hadn’t gone back in time for her to meet in 1986 yet. The donkey wheel turning event that sent him back didn’t happen until after she died in 2004. Seems logical enough to me anyway.
Separately, while Farrady seems to be gone/missing, clearly Miles has discussed time travel with him in some detail.
I also really liked the idea that Aaron knows that Claire is his real mother, even if he’s not quite sure what she looks like, and this certainly seems to confirm that Claire is still alive, and will probably end up raising him just like the psychic said she should.
April 3rd, 2009 at 7:22 am
This one restored my faith in Kate. In ‘He’s Our You’, they made it seem like she came back for Sawyer, and I was disgusted with her. But knowing what she’s been through, and knowing she’s here for Claire saves her in my opinion. I hope she lets go of loving both Jack and Sawyer, and just becomes the strong, independent Kate we know and love this season.
April 3rd, 2009 at 7:40 pm
Did anyone see the connection between Roger (ben’s dad) and kate? Not that kate was intrested, but it looked like roger was sort of into her, and especially after he saw her trying to save ben with her blood. Wonder if anything’s going to happen there…
April 5th, 2009 at 11:38 am
i’m so pissed off with cassidy, she wasn’t right about sawyer
April 5th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
skater4eto— I think she was right. Sawyer told Kate he wasn’t ready to be her boyfriend then.
